Who we're looking for:

The Toyota Financial Services Enterprise Tools team seeks a highly motivated Cloud Engineer to support our expanding enterprise tools needs. This role involves building world-class platform engineering solutions for our development teams.

What you'll be doing

Technology Strategy and Execution:

• Implement a strategic roadmap for technology initiatives within the Enterprise Platform and Automation domains.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technology solutions.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our offerings.

Self-Service and Automation:

• Drive initiatives to enable self-service capabilities and automation across supported technology areas.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual efforts, and increase efficiency.
• Champion the adoption of self-service tools to empower employees to resolve issues independently.

What you bring

• Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-native applications using AWS or other cloud providers.
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture, containerization, and cloud computing, with expertise in scalability, reliability, and performance optimization.
• Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, Java, JavaScript for automation, integrations, and backend services.
• Proficiency in test-driven development (TDD) for application and infrastructure automation.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services like Lambda, DynamoDB, EC2, S3, ELB, RDS, EKS.
• Mastery of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Good understanding of DevSecOps principles using AWS technologies.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, Amazon ECS, or AWS Fargate.
