Spang Engineered Solutions, a division of Spang & Company, has an opening for a Production Planning Associate based at its McKinney, TX office. This position will be responsible for coordinating activities related to production planning and scheduling, including material availability planning and shop floor scheduling.
Spang Engineered Solutions designs and manufactures custom inductive components for an array of industries including renewable energy, solar, medical, aerospace, automotive, and military. Our manufacturing locations include Pittsburgh, PA, Phoenix AZ, McKinney, TX in the U.S.A., and Xiamen, China.
Primary responsibilities will include:
•Maintain production schedule for the facility, working with Production Manager and Sales.
•Analyze current and future orders in order to prioritize, plan and facilitate smooth production operations.
•Ensure availability of necessary raw materials and inventory, in collaboration with purchasing department.
•Review data on closed shop orders and update planned routing times, with input from production and QC.
•Create and manage shop order documents and ensure that all necessary drawings and component parts are provided to Production Assemblers.
•Monitor the execution of the production plan and address any potential issues in a timely fashion.
•Facilitate/participate in regular production meetings and communicate changes to schedule with staff and management.
•General ERP support, and backup for shipping/receiving.
Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in a business related field, along with 1 year of internship or business office experience in customer service, logistics, scheduling, or production planning.
