Position Overview
The Preconstruction Manager plays a crucial role in the early stages of construction projects, overseeing all preconstruction activities to ensure successful project delivery. This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders, managing project budgets, and developing detailed project schedules while implementing best practices in estimating and value engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preconstruction process including budgeting, estimating, and scheduling.
  • Conduct thorough risk analysis and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive project proposals to clients and stakeholders.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage procurement processes to align with project goals.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality control standards.
  • Facilitate effective communication between all project participants to enhance client relations.
  • Oversee the development of construction plans and blueprints, ensuring accuracy and feasibility.
  • Implement value engineering techniques to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the preconstruction team, fostering collaboration and innovation.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in preconstruction management or a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of estimating, scheduling, and budgeting practices.
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding construction documents.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform risk analysis and develop strategic solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client relations and team leadership.
  • Familiarity with building codes, quality control standards, and procurement processes.
  • Proven track record of successful project management and delivery.
