Summary:

This role combines technical, manufacturing, and business knowledge to drive innovation for a business. It has a foundation in controls engineering and offers growth opportunities, including developing automation solutions, quantifying business value, presenting to leadership, and coordinating across functions to implement initiatives. The candidate will work in a collaborative and diverse team of engineers and leaders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with factory stakeholders to develop and deploy manufacturing automation systems and digital solutions.
  2. Maintain and upgrade deployed automation systems (e.g., mechanisms, controls, robotics, autonomous vehicles).
  3. Manage full project lifecycle from requirements to execution and sustainment.
  4. Create visualizations in Ignition for data-driven decision-making.
  5. Exhibit expertise in PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems, especially Emerson, Rockwell Allen Bradley, and Siemens controls.
  6. Translate client visions into clear project directions, providing clarity to team and clients, and deliver results.
  7. Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to organizational decision-makers on initiatives.
  8. Demonstrate technical and managerial capabilities in developing solutions and managing client expectations.
  9. Develop and manage strategic account plans for customers.
  10. Formulate and execute comprehensive business plans addressing customer priorities, including product, software, services, and support.
  11. Foster innovation and entrepreneurship, identify new business opportunities, and advise on digital transformation strategies.
  12. Align virtual/global account teams to deliver strategic outcomes, leveraging support organizations.
  13. Understand customer business deeply and offer innovative solutions for market differentiation.
  14. Build long-term relationships with C-level executives and create effective governance models.
  15. Lead account planning to expand Honeywell's footprint within customer organizations.
  16. Drive revenue growth across Honeywell brands and BTIs at customer sites.
  17. Ensure operational excellence through effective cadence, tools, performance management, and training.
  18. Represent Honeywell positively and coordinate with other Honeywell divisions to support customer strategies.
  19. Communicate milestones, activities, and acquisitions to the Honeywell Industrial Safety team.

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
  • Minimum six years of programming experience in C/C++, with applications on Windows OS.
  • Experience with structured coding environments and projects involving software and hardware, such as robotics.
  • Knowledge of Linux and Siemens PLC environments.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics (electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics).
  • Proficiency with CAD tools.
  • High initiative, effort, and commitment to completing tasks timely.
  • Familiarity with fabrication concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Understanding of design techniques, tools, fixtures, and principles for producing technical plans and models.
  • Knowledge of engineering science and technology applications.
  • Proficiency in electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and programming.
  • Ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly.
  • Motivated, fast-paced work ethic, self-starter, with high judgment and independence.
  • Capability to review and provide feedback on engineering deliverables such as models, drawings, and presentations.

Work Hours:

  • Standard hours with potential overtime for deadlines, travel, or urgent needs.

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 50% travel may be required.
