Base pay range

$60,000.00/yr - $60,000.00/yr

The Director of Sales-Select Service oversees sales and marketing for a hotel, aiming to maximize occupancy, ADR, and revenue while meeting profit objectives. Responsibilities include managing the sales department, budgeting, forecasting, advertising, and marketing strategies for up to one hotel. The role requires working as needed, including overtime.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of hotel sales experience preferred; or a 4-year college degree with at least 1 year of related experience; or a 2-year college degree with at least 2 years of related experience
  • Valid driver's license in the applicable state
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills for negotiation and influence
  • Experience with professional selling skills: opening, probing, supporting, closing
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic vision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with diverse backgrounds and solve complex problems
  • Knowledge of sales, marketing, and hospitality principles
  • Ability to work under stress and understand financial data

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate group, transient, and catering sales to maximize revenue
  • Manage the hotel's sales budget, marketing, and business plans
  • Conduct outside sales calls, client entertainment, and sales tours
  • Negotiate contract terms and develop market awareness strategies
  • Monitor top account production and market trends
  • Follow Aimbridge Hospitality's regulations, standards, and metrics
  • Achieve individual, team, and budget goals
  • Train hotel staff on sales opportunities
  • Understand hotel operations and policies
  • Maintain visibility in the community and industry
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions
  • Collaborate with marketing partners and internal departments
  • Travel weekly as required
  • Represent the General Manager in their absence and perform other duties as assigned
