Job Details

Repairs, installs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.

Essential Functions/Job Requirements:

• Follows electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools and electrical and electronic test equipment.
• Ensures electrical quality components to the manufacturing process standard.
• Perform all necessary electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, testing, diagnosis, and repair of production equipment.
• Inspecting equipment by sight and sound, and reading gauges and other measuring devices on a routine basis to assure optimum operating condition.
• Maintain electrical systems for a variety of purposes including lighting, climate control, security, A.C and D.C motors, controls and distribution panels.
• Rewire and replace outdated wiring and equipment and modify electrical circuitry and/or equipment to meet changing needs.
• Assure compliance with regulations (building codes, electrical codes, fire codes).

• Ability to read technical manuals and blueprints
• Ability in reading and writing electrical schematics and PLC logic diagrams
• Able to express basic electronic, mechanical and hydraulic principles used in electrical maintenance technician work assignments.
