Responsible for the maintenance and construction of water lines throughout the city Essential Functions and Other Important Duties Essential Functions:Under general supervision, proficiently operates one or more types of light to medium sized motorized construction/maintenance equipment (i.e. warehouse/interior forklift, bobcat, backhoe, compressor, riding-compactor, vehicle for running errands, small water truck, small dump truck and utility truck) to excavate, move and/or grade material. Operates larger motorized equipment as needed. Performs various skilled duties using hand and power tools? Performs pre-inspections and post-inspections of all equipment and trucks before and after use; performs minor maintenance activities and cleaning of equipment, and reports problems to supervisor.
