Construction Project Management Director - Owner's Rep

About the Role:

As a Project Management Director, you'll be responsible for department-related management services for a dedicated financial services account or program to achieve the company's strategic business objectives. The selected candidate should have proven experience with commercial office space and the ability to lead and manage a team.

This is a fulltime onsite role based in Dallas, Texas.

This job is part of the Project Management function. They are responsible for the management of projects from initiation through completion.

What You'll Do:

  1. Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
  2. Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
  3. Direct all phases of the process for commercial renovations, TI, renovation, infrastructure, ADA and exterior upgrade projects including procurement, contracting, planning, tracking, and execution.
  4. Ensure that contract procurement, negotiation, execution, administration, and closeouts are accurate, timely, and compliant.
  5. Develop new business growth and maintain existing business relationships.
  6. Maintain full responsibility for the financial performance of market, program, and client accounts.
  7. Identify project risks, lead constructability reviews, and develop risk mitigation plans. Cultivate relationships with industry associates and professional organizations. Regularly report the status of projects and programs, summarizing complex issues succinctly while serving as a point of contact for clients and escalation for staffing or delivery issues.
  8. Apply a robust knowledge of multiple disciplines, the business, and key drivers that impact departmental and cross-functional performance.
  9. Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Persuade managers and other colleagues to take action while being guided by the organization's functional business plans. Negotiate with external partners, vendors, and customers of divergent interests to reach a common goal.
  10. Identify and solve multi-dimensional, complex, operational, and organizational problems leveraging the appropriate resources within or outside the department.
  11. Significantly improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline.
  12. Other duties as assigned.
