Description:

Allison Engineering Group is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead one of our land development teams. In this key role, you will manage a diverse range of complex residential, commercial, and industrial projects. As a senior professional, you'll mentor and guide a dynamic team, act as a trusted advisor to clients, contribute to business development efforts, and optimize projects from conception through construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the production of site development, public works, and private development projects.
  • Direct technical design, analysis, and drawing reviews to ensure code compliance.
  • Review designs and project deliverables to maintain quality and consistency.
  • Navigate approval and permitting processes with advanced expertise.
  • Stay current on industry trends and incorporate innovative solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with municipal authorities.
  • Present at hearings, commissions, and council meetings.
  • Serve as the primary client liaison for assigned clients, maintaining clear and open communication.
  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource coordination with teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Contribute to proposal writing, client presentations, and invoicing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas, or ability to obtain licensure within six months.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in land/site development or private sector projects.
  • Experience in producing plans and managing the following tasks:
    • Entitlements (Platting, Zoning, and Municipal Permitting)
    • Site Planning and Development Master Planning
    • General Civil Engineering Design and Analysis, including:
      • Site Design
      • Grading and Drainage
      • Streets and Alleys
      • Water and Wastewater
      • Hydrology and Hydraulics
    • Construction Management
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects successfully.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
